Parliamentary Friendship Groups to help enhance diplomats, FO interaction : Qureshi

ISLAMABAD, Mar 07 (APP):Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Thursday said Parliamentary Friendship Groups would enhance interaction of diplomatic corps and Foreign Office and help formulate and implement foreign policy objectives.
Speaking at an event to launch Parliamentary Friendship Groups here at Parliament House, he said when Friendship Groups would engage with diplomatic corps, they would act as bridge between the diplomatic corps and Foreign Office.
He said Parliament was the most important institution in democratic dispensation and its friendship groups had a significant role in promoting better understanding and bilateral relations with other countries.
