ISLAMABAD, Dec 09 (APP): Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday emphasized that the Parliament remain fully committed to eliminating corruption, strengthening transparency and ensuring the supremacy of the law.
In a message on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, he termed the corruption the biggest obstacle in the national development and reiterated Parliament’s resolve to eradicate it in all forms.
“Transparency, accountability, and rule of law are the pillars of a strong democracy,” Ayaz Sadiq said, adding that raising national awareness against corruption is a shared responsibility of all citizens.
He stressed that both public institutions and the people must work together to build a corruption-free Pakistan, saying that sustainable development is only possible through transparent and efficient use of national resources.
The Speaker highlighted that the National Assembly is actively working on effective legislation aimed at combating corrupt practices and promoting a culture of integrity across governance systems.
