Palestine supports 34-countries Saudi alliance against terrorism: Palestinian Ambassador

ISLAMABAD, Dec 27 (APP): Palestinian government supported the recently announced 34-countries Saudi alliance against terrorism and welcomed the decision of Pakistani government to join the alliance of Muslim countries.

The Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan Waleed Abu Ali has said this while talking to APP.

He said that the recently announced 34 countries alliance would play a vital role against terrorism aimed at bringing peace and prosperity in the Muslim world.

Responding to a question about Pakistani role for independence of Palestine at international forums, the ambassador said that “Palestinian nation always admitted this fact and lauded the role of Pakistani government and the entire nation for supporting them at all forums”.

Quoting the speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the United Nations General Assembly recently, the Ambassador said that the entire Palestinian nation was more than happy over the speech of PM Nawaz Sharif and appreciated the role of Pakistan for standing with Palestine.

It was a great day for Palestine when the senate (Upper House of the Parliament) of Pakistan passed a unanimous resolution for the independence of Palestine and rights of the Palestinian nation, the Ambassador said.

Palestinian Parliament and its entire nation was grateful to Pakistan and its nation for their support for the independence of Palestine, Waleed Abu Ali said.

Speaking about relationship between the two brotherly countries, he said that Palestine and Pakistan were enjoying excellent bilateral relations since decades.

Responding to a question about two nation theory for Palestine by the world community, the ambassador said “Palestine appreciates idea of the two nations theory and expects that the Palestinian nation would get an independent homeland according to the accepted territory of 1967 by the world community”.

Elaborating the role of the recently announced Saudi alliance against terrorism the ambassador expected that an alliance on the same patron would also be announced for the protection of Palestinian’s rights.

Regarding independence of the Palestine, he said that Palestinian nation would only accept independence of their country if Al Aqsa (Bait ul Maqdis) would be announced as capital of the Palestine.
