PAL hosts 63rd informal session of weekly literary series”Chai, Baatain aur Kitaabain”

ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) hosted the 63rd informal session of its popular weekly literary series “Chai, Baatain aur Kitaabain” at its headquarters on Wednesday.
Held under the theme titled “Bazm-e-Iqbal Khwani” the event featured literary and poetic recitations from Allama Iqbal’s works in both Urdu and Persian. Participants presented Iqbal’s verses with translation and musical rhythm, paying tribute to the poet-philosopher’s timeless message of selfhood, faith, and human dignity.
The session was moderated by Munir Fayyaz, while Dr Najeeba Arif, Chairperson of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, presided over the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arif highlighted the enduring relevance of Iqbal’s thought in contemporary times and emphasized the Academy’s commitment to promoting Pakistan’s rich literary heritage through such interactive literary sittings.
The event drew participants from the literary community, including poets, scholars, students, and admirers of Iqbal’s philosophy, making it a meaningful celebration of Pakistan’s national poet.
