Pakistan’s UK envoy visits Southall’s Abubakr Mosque, educational facilities

ISLAMABAD, Oct 1 (APP): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to
the United Kingdom Syed Ibne Abbas has visited Abubakr Mosque and its educational facilities wherein he also offered prayer and addressed a large number of Pakistani community.

The high commissioner appreciated Pakistani community
for their constructive role in the UK and their contribution in the progress and development of Pakistan, said a press release received here Saturday.

He assured the community of better consular services at
the Pakistan’s high commission and its consulates.

The high commissioner spoke about the volatile situation
on the Line of Control, arising from the recent violation of ceasefire by the Indian security forces.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire for peaceful neighbourhood and resolving all issues with India through dialogue. However, he said that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be taken as a sign of weakness.

He reassured the community that Pakistan was in safe
hands and was fully capable of facing all challenges.

The high commissioner reiterated Pakistan’s political,
diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people who were suffering from worst atrocities at the hands of the Indian security forces for last two months.

At the end, special prayers were offered for the martyrs
and injured Kashmiri people.

Later, the high commissioner visited the educational
facilities at the mosque and, on behalf of the high commission, announced a donation of £1,500/ for purchase of computers for the computer lab.
