ISLAMABAD, Jan 08 (APP):Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Muhammad Faisal on Thursday met with Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan in London to discuss youth engagement, overseas employment opportunities, and bilateral cooperation between two countries.
According to official sources, during the meeting, both sides held consultations on expanding cooperation for youth-focused initiatives and developing mechanisms to connect overseas Pakistani youth with national development opportunities.
Chairman Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan emphasized that overseas youth engagement would strengthen Pakistan’s national youth agenda and help bridge young Pakistanis abroad with government-led initiatives.
The two sides also discussed plans for hosting an Overseas Pakistani Youth Convention, aimed at creating structured platforms for diaspora youth engagement.
High Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Faisal appreciated the efforts of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and commended the Chairman’s outreach to various Pakistani youth organizations in the United Kingdom.
Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan also lauded the proactive role of the Pakistan High Commission in London in facilitating youth-related initiatives.
Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme is currently undertaking an official visit to the United Kingdom, focusing on international youth cooperation, skill development, and overseas employment opportunities.
During the visit, the Chairman is scheduled to hold meetings with the Commonwealth Secretariat, British E-sports organizations, and other youth-focused institutions.
He will also engage with Pakistani students enrolled in leading British universities.
Officials reported that progress is being made between Pakistan and the United Kingdom on creating new overseas employment opportunities for Pakistani youth, which could further enhance bilateral cooperation in the coming months.
