LONDON, Oct 01 (APP): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Tipu Usman met British Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Stephen Doughty in London on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
The meeting reflected continued high-level engagement between Pakistan and the UK, with both sides reviewing progress in bilateral ties and exchanging views on the evolving regional situation. They also explored ways to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Tipu Usman stressed the importance of sustained strategic engagement between the two countries to advance their shared interests. Following the meeting, he described the discussions as productive and said both sides had reaffirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral strategic ties.
Doughty also welcomed the meeting, highlighting the broad scope of cooperation between Pakistan and the UK. In a message on X, he said the two countries were working together to increase trade and investment, strengthen security cooperation and address shared challenges related to migration.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the positive momentum in bilateral relations and continuing close coordination on regional and international issues.
