Pakistan’s armed forces gave crushing response to India: President Zardari

LARKANA, Dec 27 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday said Pakistan’s valiant armed forces gave a crushing response to India during the conflict this year.
He was addressing the workers and supporters of Pakistan Peoples Party on the occasion of the 18th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
He said India could not put up a fight against Pakistan for even four days.
“We appointed such an Army Chief who, looking straight into India’s eyes, defended the homeland,” he remarked.
He said Indian prime minister Modi came to know the strength of Pakistan and India realized that war was not a child’s game.
“Had we wanted, we could have destroyed all the aircrafts of India during the war,” he added.
The President said Pakistan Peoples Party raised the slogan of ‘Pakistan Khappe’ (Long live Pakistan) and saved the country from chaos.
Pakistan will remain until the day of judgment, he said adding, “We are ready to sacrifice our lives for the country if needed. Our coming generations will also stand up and fight for the country.”
First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other PPP leaders also attended the public meeting.
