ISLAMABAD, Aug 9 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani called on Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Tuesday and discussed Pak-US relations.
The recent statements of US representatives about Pakistan also came under discussion during the meeting.
Talking to the Ambassador, the Minister said that undue criticism on Pakistan’s role in fight against terrorism can harm Pak-US ties and cause difficulties in achieving common interests of the two countries.
The matter regarding issuance of Pakistani visa to a US citizen Matthew Barrett also came under discussion.
The Minister said relevant rules and regulations should be followed for issuance of visas.
