Pakistan welcomes agreement on first phase of Gaza peace plan: Dar

ISLAMABAD, Oct 9 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday said Pakistan welcomes the agreement on first phase of the Plan, including an immediate ceasefire, release of hostages and prisoners, and unhindered humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“We commend President Trump, and Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye for their efforts,” the deputy PM wrote on his official X handle.

“We hope this will lead to a permanent ceasefire and lasting peace. Pakistan reaffirms its principled support for an independent State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital,” he added.
