Pakistan wants strong diplomatic, economic ties with Oman: Omar

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan said Pakistan wanted strong diplomatic and economic ties with Oman and welcomed Omani companies’ interest to invest in diverse fields here.

He expressed these views during a meeting with ambassador of Oman to Pakistan Al-Sheikh Muhammad Umar Ahmad Al-Marhoon here the other day, a press release said Tuesday.

The minister said Pakistan believed in brotherly and vibrant relations with Oman and appreciated the envoy for playing important role in promoting the ties between the two countries.

Omar Ayub also paid tribute to the ruler of Oman for making concerted efforts for his country’s development and prosperity of countrymen.

The envoy extended best wishes for progress and prosperity of Pakistan and apprised the minister about Omani businessmen’s interest to invest in different sectors of Pakistan.

The minister assured the ambassador that Pakistan would extend all possible assistant to Omani entrepreneurs, adding the government was pursuing a prudent policy to facilitate foreign investors.
