ISLAMABAD, Apr 24 (APP):Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, met with a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss enhanced collaboration in combating drug trafficking and improving information exchange between the two countries.
The UAE delegation included Drug Liaison Officer Muhammad Ali Saeed, Deputy Nasir Al-Tali, and Assistant Muhammad Saeed. During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing efforts and emphasized the need for deeper coordination to counter narcotics smuggling and related crimes.
It was mutually agreed to strengthen cooperation in anti-narcotics operations and share intelligence to improve the effectiveness of joint initiatives. The UAE delegation expressed confidence that continued dialogue and regional conferences, such as the recent GCC meeting, would further reinforce joint efforts.
Minister Talal Chaudhry expressed his gratitude to the UAE officials for their active participation in the GCC conference and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with international partners to curb the menace of drug trafficking.
