ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP):Minister For Human Rights Shireen M Mazari told the Senate on Tuesday that Pakistan would seriously pursue water issue with India taking firm and strong decisions with no concession as water was the country’s lifeline.
Responding to a question, the minister said it was negligence of the previous government that it had not taken up the water issue with India, but now firm and strong decisions would be taken.
Since India had not withdrawn from the Indus Waters Treaty so it was obligatory for it under international rules to follow its provisions and Pakistan would have to impose them, she added.
