Pakistan to construct dams through own resources: CJP

ISLAMABAD, Sep 8 (APP):Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar Saturday promised the nation that Pakistan would construct the dams through its own resources and would not take loan or beg before anyone for this purpose.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the prime minister and the Supreme Court had guaranteed that the funds given by the nation for the dams would be utilized only for their construction.
Students of different schools had vigorously taken part in fund collection campaign and deposited amount in the fund, he added.
He said friends and companions had supported him in this nobel cause.
To a question, he said lawyers and their bar councils and associations would also fully cooperate with him in this campaign.
He thanked media in dam fund raising campaign and announced Rs 1,00,000 donation for the cause.
