Pakistan to call Bangladesh envoy, lodges protest over violation of tripartite agreement: NA told

ISLAMABAD, Nov 25 (APP): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmed Wednesday said that Pakistan would call the ambassador of Bangladesh and lodge protest over violation of tripartite agreement executed among Pakistan, Bangladesh and India
in 1974.
He was responding to a calling attention notice of Sahibzada Tariq Ullah and others about hanging of various politicians including Ali Ahsan Mujahid and Salahuddin Qadir by the so called international tribunal in Bangladesh in violation of agreement among the three countries and causing grave concern among the public.
He said before creation of Bangladesh, East and West Pakistan
were one country and these people expressed their freedom of speech
for Pakistan cause, therefore allegiance to the Constitution was not
a crime.
He said Bangladesh was part of Pakistan before 1971 and both
the countries should forgive their bitter past and move forward.
He said unfortunately after the passage of four decades,
revengeful activities were still going on in Bangladesh, adding that
Pakistan and the international watch dogs had condemned this act of
Bangladeshi government.
To a question of Sher Akbar Khan, the Minister said, it was
clear in the agreement that Pakistan, Bangladesh and India would
forgive their bitter past and move forward.
