ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP):Pakistan Thursday strongly condemned Kandahar terrorist attack which reportedly killed senior security officials and left many others injured.
“Pakistan stands with the Afghan government and people and reiterates its support for the Afghan democratic process. We hope that the parliamentary elections taking place the day after tomorrow would be held peacefully. Strengthening of democracy is key to long term peace and security in Afghanistan,” Foreign Office spokesman, in a statement, said.
He said Pakistan condemned terrorism and expressed the heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of those who had lost their lives. He also prayed for swift recovery of the injured.
