ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (APP): Pakistan made a strong impression at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious international tourism exhibitions, which commenced at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, London, on Tuesday.
Organized by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in coordination with Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Development (GBTD), Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC), Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) and private sector stakeholders, Pakistan’s participation underscores the country’s commitment to promoting its diverse tourism potential and strengthening its visibility in global travel markets, said a press release.
The Pakistan Pavilion (Stand No. N.520) was inaugurated in a vibrant ceremony attended by high-level dignitaries, tourism professionals and media representatives.
The 32-member Pakistani delegation, representing both the public and private sectors, is led by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Tourism and includes Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture, Tourism & Antiquities, Government of Sindh and Ghulam Muhammad, Minister for Tourism, Sports &Culture, Gilgit-Baltistan, Senior officials from provincial tourism departments and representatives of leading private tourism and hospitality companies are also part of the delegation.
WTM London is recognized as a global hub for the travel and tourism industry, connecting more than 180 countries and attracting thousands of exhibitors, buyers, investors and international media.
The event provides Pakistan with a valuable platform to showcase its scenic beauty, cultural heritage and adventure tourism and hospitality sector to a worldwide audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said that WTM London offers Pakistan a remarkable opportunity to connect with global tourism leaders, investors, and travelers. Our participation aims to project the positive image of Pakistan, highlight its unparalleled natural beauty and build meaningful international collaborations in tourism.
Managing Director PTDC, Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana, emphasized the importance of Pakistan’s participation, stating that WTM London is one of the most significant tourism events globally.
PTDC’s collaboration with provincial departments and private sector partners ensures unified promotion of Pakistan as a compelling destination for international visitors. Through this joint effort, we aim to enhance Pakistan’s brand image and attract investment in our tourism infrastructure.
Throughout the exhibition, the Pakistani delegation is engaging in B2B meetings, networking sessions and media interactions with global tourism professionals to develop partnerships and explore new opportunities. The Pakistan Pavilion features stunning visuals, high-definition videos and promotional materials that portray the country’s rich cultural and adventure tourism offerings.
