Pakistan, Royal Bahrain Navies conclude bilateral exercise

KARACHI, Dec 26 (APP): Pakistan and Royal Bahrain Navies here on Saturday concluded bilateral exercise “Exercise Shaheen Al Jazeera”.

Final event of the exercise was witnessed by Commanders of the Special Operation Forces of the Royal Bahrain and the Pakistan Navies.

Both Commanders appreciated the professional conduct and skills displayed by the participating teams.

They were equally confident that the exercise Shaheen Al Jazeera will prove beneficial in enhancing inter-operability between the two navies and their Special Operations Forces.

The exercise culminated with the display of coordinated Special Forces operations at sea which included boarding procedures through surface and air platforms.

Shaheen Al Jazeera series of Special Forces Exercise is being regularly conducted since 1997 between PN SSG (N) and Bahrain Navy Special Forces at Karachi and Manama, Bahrain, on alternate years.

Owing to multifaceted maritime threats in the Indian Ocean Region, the Special Forces of the two countries exercised various operations related to Maritime Counter Terrorism and Interdiction Operations employment of Maritime Special Warfare (MSW) Teams.
