LAHORE, Nov 21 (APP):The Pakistan Railways on Friday formally inaugurated the upgraded new rake of the 125-Up/126-Down Lasani Express on the Lahore–Narowal–Sialkot section.
Speaking at the ceremony, Additional General Manager Mechanical, Yousaf Khan, said that under the directions of Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, swift measures are being taken to modernize the railway system in line with contemporary requirements. He noted that the addition of the new and upgraded rake to the Lasani Express marks a significant step toward providing passengers with comfortable, safe, and high-quality travel facilities.
He added that thousands of passengers commuting between Lahore and Sialkot will benefit from the upgrade, and that more modern rakes will be introduced for other trains in the future.
Following the ceremony, the AGM inspected the new rake and interacted with passengers. He also issued instructions to further improve onboard facilities, enhance seating upgrades, and maintain higher cleanliness standards.
A large number of railway officials, officers, and passengers attended the inauguration.
