Pakistan, Jordan discuss emerging regional scenario

ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): Jordanian Ambassador Nawaf Khalifeh Ibrahim Saraireh on Tuesday called on Secretary Defence Lt. Gen (Retd) Muhammad Alam Khattak and discussed emerging regional scenario and its settlement according to wishes of people of those states.
Both the countries reinforced their strong and historic relations,underscoring the need for maintaining and promoting closer relations particularly in the field of defence.
During the meeting, Jordanian Ambassador mentioned the efforts of Jordanian Government in tackling the emerging situation in the region. He shared the problem of refugee crisis and inquired how Pakistan has been able to meet the crisis over the years.
The Secretary Defence praised the efforts of the Armed Forces,Civil Government and more over People of Pakistan who stood resilient in the wake of any crisis that the country had to face.
“Pakistan always believed in the policy of non-interference and
had taken measures to bring peace and stability to the region,” he added.
Both Pakistan and Jordan expressed satisfaction over ongoing
defence deals and other collaborative projects between both countries.
The Secretary Defence appreciated the vision and foresight of
visiting dignitary with the hope that future of bilateral relations will further prosper.
He welcomed the dignitary and expressed warm wishes for the Kingdom
and the everlasting bilateral relationship enjoyed by both countries.
