ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): Advisor and Chief Operating Officer of the Pakistan Romania Business Council, Atif Farooqi called on Acting Ambassador of Indonesia Rahmat Hindiarta to advance groundbreaking trilateral trade between Pakistan, Indonesia, and Romania.
This strategic partnership leverages Pakistan’s Central Asian crossroads location, Indonesia’s ASEAN dominance, and Romania’s role as the EU’s gateway to the Black Sea and emerging markets.
During the call, Farooqi expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Dan Stoenescu, Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, for his remarkable contribution in securing the landmark Memorandum of Understanding between Karachi Port Trust and the Port of Constança.
Farooqi specifically highlighted that Dr. Stoenescu’s tireless efforts and diplomatic leadership were instrumental in bridging maritime connectivity between Pakistan and Romania, creating a vital trade artery connecting South Asia to Europe.
The trilateral dialogue focused on boosting trade volume across agriculture, energy, manufacturing, and technology while establishing a long-term cooperation roadmap with measurable milestones for all three nations.
The successful meeting sets the stage for deeper collaboration as Romania strengthens the EU’s bridge to Asia, Pakistan develops as South-Central Asia’s trade hub, and Indonesia drives Southeast Asia’s economy.
