ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (APP): Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Barjees Tahir Wednesday said Pakistan was responding to Indian aggression in befitting manner at Line of Control (LoC).
He said people of Pakistan had always stood with their Kashmiri brothers and would continue to do so at this critical time.
He said this during a meeting with Minister for Works and Communication Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Ch Muhammad Aziz, said a press release.
Both the ministers discussed over all security situation of AJK and various development projects.
Barjees said Pakistani government was well aware of current tense situation at LoC.
The minister said Pakistan has always been desirous of peace but would respond to any aggression by India.
He said due to a resilient freedom struggle in Occupied Kashmir and the landmark project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, India was resorting to unprovoked aggression on the border.
During the meeting, the ministers strongly condemned unprovoked firing and violations at LoC by the Indian side.
They urged international community to play its due role for restoration of peace at LoC and stop India from border violations.
Peace cannot be restored in the region without resolving Kashmir issue, they said.
