ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP): State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, met with, Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China Huai Jinpeng on the sidelines of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, vocational and technical training, digital learning, and higher education under the broader framework of the Pakistan-China strategic partnership, said a press release received here.
Wajiha Qamar appreciated China’s continued support in advancing education and capacity-building initiatives in Pakistan, particularly under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
She highlighted Pakistan’s education reforms aimed at promoting inclusivity, innovation, and skills-based learning to prepare youth for future challenges.
Huai Jinpeng lauded Pakistan’s commitment to promoting quality education and expressed China’s readiness to expand collaboration in teacher training, academic research, student exchanges, and the use of emerging technologies in education.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared resolve to enhance institutional linkages and develop joint programs focused on science, technology, and vocational education to foster sustainable socio-economic growth.
The meeting underscored the longstanding friendship and mutual trust between Pakistan and China and their shared vision of promoting education as a key driver of development and prosperity.
