Pak-Iran trade relations: CM Balochistan meets Iranian Ambassador

QUETTA, Oct 03 (APP):During a one to one meeting between chief minister Balochistan and Iranian Ambassador on Wednesday both expressed desire to boost bilateral trade between the two countries.
Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Hunar Dost met Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan at Chief Minister House to discuss bilateral economic ties between the two neighboring countries.
The meeting was agreed on exchange of Parliamentarian delegations, fostering cultural and traditional relations and increasing trade activities.
“The Iranian leadership seek to strengthen relations with Pakistan and both countries could defeat the common enemies and challenges with unity,” the Iranian ambassador said.
Mehdi Hunar Dost while talking to CM Balochistan said the Iranian government was willing to complete Pak-Iran Gas pipeline accord in near future and the conspiracies against both the countries’ relations would be defeated at all levels.
Stressing upon banking connection between Balochistan and Siastan Balochistan the Iranian Ambassador said, the session of Pak-Iran border trade committee was going to be held in this physical month in which the trade issues would be discussed. The bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran had reached up to 1.3 billion dollars and we seek further trade increase amid both neighboring nations, he added.
Lauding the Iranian efforts to increase trade with Pakistan, CM Balochistan Jam Kamal said there were evident cultural and traditional resemblance between Pakistan and Iran while in the bordering towns of both countries the Baloch tribes had blood relations,
“Our region comprising on Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan is full of natural resources, with joint efforts we can build our economic influence in the world.”
CM Jam Kamal while applauding the attempt to foster Pak-Iran efforts through Parliamentarian delegations said the precedent of exchange of Parliamentarian delegations will be continued and a delegation of Parliamentarian would be sent to Iran to strengthen our relations with Iran.
CM Balochistan with Iranian Ambassador discussed the facilities for Shia Pilgrims in Balochistan, connecting Gawadar-Chahbahar Ports with Railway link.
The Iranian ambassador invited the chief minister with his cabinet members to Iran, which the CM accepted amicably.
