Pakistan High Commissioner in Canada Muhammad Saleem, Saturday, inaugurated the Sadequain Art Exhibition in Mississauga to celebrate the enduring legacy of Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi (1930-1987), one of Pakistan’s most distinguished artistic visionaries.  

ISLAMABAD, May 02 (APP): Pakistan High Commissioner in Canada Muhammad Saleem, Saturday, inaugurated the Sadequain Art Exhibition in Mississauga to celebrate the enduring legacy of Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi (1930-1987), one of Pakistan’s most distinguished artistic visionaries.
Organized by the Sadequain Foundation in collaboration with local hosts and media partners, the exhibition seeks to present the profound depth, symbolism and cultural resonance embedded in his invaluable body of artwork, a press release said.

The three-day event is expected to draw diverse groups of visitors including connoisseurs of art and calligraphy, members of the media, civil society and students from the Aga Khan Foundation Academy Toronto and other institutions.

“Through this immersive experience, the participants are afforded a rare opportunity to engage with Sadequain’s extraordinary artistic expression through Islamic calligraphy, paintings, drawings, murals and Urdu poetry, while also reflecting on Pakistan’s immense contribution to the global landscape of art and culture,” it was added.

Adding intellectual depth to the event, the esteemed Pakistani scholar and poet Ashfaq Hussain offered thoughtful insight into Sadequain’s multifaceted legacy, exploring his remarkable contribution to visual art, poetry and scholarship.
