ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP):A credential ceremony was held on Wednesday at Diwan-e-emir for the newly designated ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait Syed Sajjad Haider.
The ambassador met Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Al-Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and conveyed best wishes of Pakistan’s leadership to the Amir of Kuwait for his health and for the progress and prosperity of Kuwait, a press release received here said.
He underscored that Pakistan was looking forward to enhance bilateral cooperation with Kuwait in all spheres for mutual benefit of the two countries.
The ambassador also raised issue of visa restrictions on Pakistani citizens in Kuwait.
The Amir assured his full support for enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries and emphasised that issue of visa restrictions need to be further discussed between the countries for way forward.
The amir said that he would like to visit Pakistan at the first opportunity and conveyed his greetings and wishes for the people and leadership of Pakistan.
Earlier, a guard of honour was given to the ambassador and national anthems of Pakistan and Kuwait were played.
