ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque has said that they highly valued the important role of Paris based Pakistani journalists for promoting and safeguarding Pakistan’s interests in France.
He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members of Pakistan Press Club held in the suburb of Paris, a message received here Tuesday said.
The ambassador said the constitution of Pakistan guaranteed freedom of press, and the press there, played a very important role for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions.
He thanked the Paris based Pakistani mediamen for their positive role in keeping the Pakistani community informed about the development and progress of Pakistan, besides highlighting the problems faced by the Pakistani community.
Haque congratulated the newly elected members of the club and called upon them to follow the dictates of their oath and continue to serve the country and its people through responsible and objective reporting.
