PAK-EEF, Zindigi join hands to launch digital scholarship disbursement system

ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP):Zindigi, a JS Bank-managed and supervised institution, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PAK-EEF) to digitalize the scholarship disbursement process. The collaboration marked a significant step toward promoting financial inclusion through technology and innovation.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PAK-EEF and Zindigi, aiming to provide scholarships to talented and deserving students across Pakistan who faced financial challenges in pursuing higher education. Under this initiative, scholarship funds will be transferred digitally to beneficiaries, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and convenient access for thousands of students nationwide, said a press release on Wednesday.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Atif Ishaq, Chief Business Officer, Zindigi, said, “Education is the most effective tool for national development. This partnership will help us ensure that financial assistance reaches deserving students easily, so that they can focus on their education and prepare for a successful future.”
Syeda Hajra Sohail, Chief Executive Officer, Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, appreciated the collaboration and highlighted its importance in strengthening the education and financial system.
She said, “This partnership with Zindagi is a revolutionary step towards a digital future for educational assistance in Pakistan. By incorporating technology into the scholarship fund disbursement system, we are not only improving efficiency but also ensuring that every rupee reaches the right student at the right time. PAK-EEF remains committed to providing equal educational opportunities and empowering Pakistan’s next generation of leaders.”
Mr. Murad Shoaib Khan, Secretary, PAK-EEF, also appreciated the partnership and emphasized that this digital scholarship payment system will prove to be an exemplary model of transparency and accountability for other public sector programs.
