PAF commemorates sacrifices of APS martyers

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP): Special ceremonies on Wednesday were held as part of first anniversary of the martyers of Army Public School Peshawar at all Fizaia institutions.

The ceremonies were held to commemorate the sacrifices of students and staff, who embraced martyrdom in the horrendous terrorist attack last year on this day.

A similar ceremony was also held at Fazaia College, Islamabad to pay tribute to the martyred souls. Air Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan, Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.

The Vice Chief lauded the great sacrifice by the brave young students and teachers who laid down their lives in this appalling incident.

He underscored nation’s resilience, high morale and firm resolve to eliminate the nefarious designs of terrorists.

He said that Pakistan Air Force has been playing a dominant role in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb, in complete synergy with Pakistan Army.

He reiterated that all measures would be taken to weed out the menace of terrorism from the motherland.

The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran, followed by National Anthem. A short documentary was shown to venerate the indomitable courage of the martyrs of APS.

Students of the Fazaia School delivered speeches to pay tribute to the bravery and supreme sacrifices of the APS students besides presented two motivational songs and a tableau.

Similar ceremonies were held at all the Fazaia schools and colleges all over the country.
