ISLAMABAD, Jun 26 (APP):More than 4,000 officers and personnel of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police were deployed across the federal capital on Friday for Youm-e-Ashur security, while senior police officers visited various Imambargahs and procession routes to personally supervise security and traffic arrangements.
An official told APP that DIG Safe City/Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq visited different Imambargahs to review security measures, while AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan remained in the field monitoring security and traffic management.

Senior officers continued visiting Imambargahs, procession routes and security deployment points to inspect operational preparedness and ensure the effective implementation of the comprehensive Ashura security plan.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi personally supervised all security arrangements and operational deployments for Youm-e-Ashur, while zonal SPs and other senior officers also remained present in the field.

According to the official, more than 4,000 police officers and personnel were deployed to provide security for Muharram processions, Majalis, rallies and mosques during Friday prayers across the capital.
The IGP Rizvi directed all officers and personnel to perform their duties with honesty, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility throughout Muharram-ul-Haram.
Rizvi said Islamabad Police was utilizing all available resources to promote peace, religious harmony and brotherhood while ensuring a safe and secure environment for mourners.
