Over 400 rescuers performed duty on Youme-e-Ashur

RAWALPINDI, Oct 25 (APP) Over 400 rescuers performed their duties on Youme-e-Ashur and staff along with Rescue Scouts at strategic
locations to provide Emergency Cover to all mourning processions in District Rawalpindi.
Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi had deployed 14 ambulances, 02 emergency ambulances of Pakistan Red Crescent, 10 fire vehicles and 03 rescue vehicles, informed the spokesperson.
Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi provided first aid to 1231 mourners and shifted 21 mourners to different hospitals in Rawalpindi, besides responding to 107 routine emergencies including 27 road traffic crashes,
41 medical cases, 02 fire incidents, 02 crime incidents and 35 other nature of emergencies.
Moreover additional rescue teams were remained on standby position at rescue station. Rescue ambulances with trained paramedic staff and
medical kit were moving along the procession to provide mourners immediate treatment. Emergency officers including trained doctors supervised arrangements on both sensitive days.
The Director General, Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) Brig (R) Dr. Arshad Zia appreciated the efforts of rescuers.
The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) provided first aid to 24289 mourners and shifted 211 mourners to different hospitals in Punjab, besides responding to routine emergencies including road traffic crashes, medical cases, fire incidents, other nature of emergencies.
