ISLAMABAD, Dec. 9 (APP): Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Wednesday welcomed Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visit to Pakistan and hoped the visit would lead to build better relations between the two neighbours.
Speaking in the National Assembly the Opposition Leader said both Pakistan and India whether using backdoor channels or open diplomacy but they should resolved the issue for lasting peace in the region, adding that resolution of Kashmir issue was in fact India’s interst.
He said that friendly ties among Pakistan, India and Afghanistan would bring peace and prosperity in South Asia therefore “We should forget our past and move forward in larger interest of people of the region.”

He said both Pakistan and India were nuclear powers which makes the resolution of the Kashmir issue more imperative. Commenting on the visit of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani,the Opposition Leader said that peace in Afghanistan and Pakistan was interlinked.
