ISLAMABAD, Jun 24 (APP):On the occasion of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of incarcerated Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, paid glowing tribute to U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker for her diplomatic leadership and contributions to strengthening Pakistan–United States relations.
In a statement issued, MS Mullick praised Baker’s efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding while also expressing gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump and his team for their diplomatic role in supporting regional stability and peace.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick described Natalie Baker as a distinguished diplomat and a remarkable example of grace, professionalism, and intellectual excellence.
She said Baker’s commitment to constructive engagement and international cooperation has significantly contributed to fostering goodwill and enhancing understanding between Pakistan and the United States.
She noted that Baker’s efforts toward peacebuilding, diplomacy, and strengthening bilateral ties deserve recognition, particularly at a time when effective diplomatic engagement remains essential for addressing regional and global challenges.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick also expressed heartfelt appreciation to U.S. President Donald Trump and his diplomatic team for a courageous and decisive diplomatic intervention that helped secure a ceasefire in a highly sensitive nuclear flashpoint region.
She said the initiative demonstrated the power of diplomacy in preventing escalation and preserving regional peace.
“The decisive diplomatic efforts undertaken by President Trump helped avert a potentially dangerous conflict and served as an important contribution to global peace,” she said.
The statement came as countries across the world observed the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, recognizing the vital role played by women diplomats in advancing peace, international cooperation, and global understanding.
