ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):A ten-member delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman (CAA Oman), led by Director General of Air Navigation Saleh Al Harthy, visited the headquarters of the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) in Karachi on Wednesday.
The delegation was received by Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, Director General of PAA, along with senior officials from the Communication and Navigation Services (CNS) Directorate.
During the meeting, both sides held comprehensive discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in air navigation, airport management, technical collaboration, and capacity-building.
The talks focused on enhancing operational efficiency, sharing expertise, and improving regional aviation connectivity between Pakistan and Oman.
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PAA and CAA Oman on Search and Rescue (SAR) operations.
The agreement seeks to promote joint exercises, improve emergency response mechanisms, and facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge in aviation safety and rescue operations.
Speaking on the occasion, Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed reaffirmed PAA’s commitment to fostering international partnerships in the aviation sector.
He noted that such collaborations reflect Pakistan’s determination to adopt global best practices and strengthen regional air safety standards.
The visit of the Omani delegation underscores the growing aviation partnership between Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman, paving the way for deeper cooperation in technical and operational fields.
