ISLAMABAD, April 4 (APP):Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ghulam Sarwar Khan Thursday said all infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sector would be completed in a phased manner.
The decision was taken by the minister while chairing a meeting held here to review the present status of gas infrastructure in the country, a press release said.

It was also decided in the meeting to upgrade the country’s gas infrastructure at earliest to to improve efficiency standards.
The meeting comprehensively reviewed the past, present and future forecasting of the country’s energy demand and supplies.
Moreover, issues pertaining to various gas infrastructure projects were also discussed.

Terming sustainable energy a strategic requirement of the country, Ghulam Sarwar said it was a vital catalyst to a country’s economic future and prosperity.

The projects in the Oil, Gas and LNG sectors would be given attention since they formed 75 percent of the country’s energy supply mix, he added.

He said, it was being ensured that the projects were undertaken after due diligence, effective planning and on their accrued benefits to the country including social, economic and environmental needs.
