ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Officials from the National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and Balochistan Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) on Monday discussed the prevailing polio situation, virus containment measures and future eradication strategies.
National EOC National Rapid Response Unit (NRRU) Chief Dr Mumtaz Laghari met Balochistan EOC Coordinator Inam-ul-Haq, while N-STOP Team Lead Dr Sami Tareen was also present.
The meeting reviewed ongoing polio eradication activities and measures to prevent the further spread of the virus in the province.
Participants stressed the need for effective surveillance, improved coordination and joint efforts to strengthen eradication activities and achieve the goal of a polio-free Pakistan.
