NPAC announces ‘Day of Gratitude & Pray’ on Friday, nationwide programs to mark success of ‘Marka-e-Haq’

MUZAFFARABAD, Apr 08 (APP):National Paigham-e-Aman Committee (NPAC) Coordinator, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, on Wednesday announced that scholars and religious leaders across all schools of thought will observe a national ‘Day of Gratitude & Pray’ on Friday, a move also endorsed by the federal cabinet, to pray for the success of peace and promote unity among the Muslim Ummah.
Addressing a press conference, he said NPAC’s delegation had met with Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Minister for Information, Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair and other officials to discuss ongoing initiatives to promote peace and religious harmony.
“Pakistan and Azad Kashmir share deep ties. Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan, and we are pleased to note that the region maintains an environment of international-level religious tolerance. Both political and religious extremism are unacceptable,” he added.
Highlighting Pakistan’s growing international stature, Ashrafi said, following Pakistan’s success in Marka-e-Haq last year, the nation has gained global respect and recognition.
On the conclusion of a year of this triumph victory, NPAC’s affiliated madrassas, mosques, and organizations have announced a series of programs, seminars, and conferences from April 20 to May 20 across Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. These events will honor the armed forces, martyrs, and state institutions while sending a unified message that the nation stands resolute for Pakistan’s security and stability.
Ashrafi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to Kashmir and Palestine, saying that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan, and under the leadership of Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the people of Kashmir and Palestine will receive their due rights.
He said last night, Pakistan earned international acclaim, with global powers, including the United States, United Kingdom, Arab and Islamic countries, as well as Iran, expressing their appreciation for Pakistan’s role in promoting peace.
Ashrafi highlighted that Pakistan’s leadership has been credited with transform
ing potential despair into hope, particularly during recent efforts to prevent escalation between the United States and Iran. He said the ceasefire achieved last night was hailed as a milestone, saving millions of lives and establishing a precedent for dialogue and peace.
Ashrafi said Pakistan’s military and diplomatic leaders, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, engaged directly with key figures in the Arab and Islamic world, including Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the country’s defense minister, as well as other regional leaders, to steer negotiations and prevent wider conflict. He underscored that had it not been for Pakistan’s mediation, tensions in the region could have escalated.
“The credit for preventing a confrontation between the Arab Islamic world and Iran goes foremost to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Pakistan’s leadership,” he said, emphasizing that Pakistan remains committed to ending conflicts imposed by external powers opposed to peace and stability in the region.
Ashrafi emphasized Pakistan’s transformation from being labeled a center of terrorism to now being recognized as a hub of peace, with the armed forces at the forefront.
Addressing India and the global community, he said, “Allah, has granted Pakistan honor and prominence. We must continue our efforts for unity, solidarity, and national defense. Securing freedom for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is our responsibility, and once achieved, we will collectively offer gratitude prayers there.”
