ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday informed the Senate that no power load-shedding was being carried out during Saheri, Iftari and Tarveeh timings across the country.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice moved by Mian Muhammad Ateeq about unscheduled load shedding, the minister said that however, load management was being observed in areas of over 80 percent losses.
He said that uninterrupted power supply was being provided to around 94 per cent areas during the said timings.
To a question, he said electricity was not being supplied to Industry
from 6:30 pm evening to 4 am morning in order to ensure smooth supply to the domestic consumers during holy month of Ramadan.
The minister said the electricity supply was suspended due to technical
faults including transformers breakdown or any other.
