LONDON, Aug 4 (APP): In a major relief for the Pakistani diaspora, the High Commission of Pakistan in London has officially launched a direct digital property transfer service for Punjab, enabling overseas Pakistanis to transfer land within hours without the need for travel, agents, or a power of attorney.

“The digital property transfer process is straightforward, featuring direct transfers with no power of attorney, third parties, or agents required, according to a statement issued by the Pakistan High Commission in London.

It highlighted that the new digital system provides a transparent, swift, and economical solution for overseas Pakistanis, eliminating the need to travel to Pakistan for this purpose.

Reaffirming its commitment to serving the Pakistani diaspora, the High Commission said that it stands ready at all times to facilitate overseas Pakistanis with direct and digital property transfers.

Marking the facility’s rollout, the High Commission announced that it had successfully processed the digital transfer of property for an expatriate Fazal and his family.

Expressing his relief, Fazal shared his experience, saying, “In Pakistan, there is constant hassle dealing with revenue officials and agents at every step. Here, there is no such issue, with no extra costs or reference (sifarish) needed. For me, this process was extremely easy.”

“We initially came thinking we would complete the process through a power of attorney, but the entire process went so smoothly. There is no need for a power of attorney. It gets transferred directly without any middleman,” said the daughter of beneficiary Fazal.

She said that everything was completely straightforward and was literally completed in a single day. It is transparent, highly secure, and safe, she added.
