NLC futuristic plans be aligned in accordance with CPEC’s transportation needs: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, June 9 (APP): Federal Minister for Planning,
Development and Reform, Ahsan Iqbal has said, the progressive
outlook and futuristic plans of National Logistic Cell (NLC) be specifically aligned in accordance with transportation needs of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

While giving policy guidelines to NLC, he said, the CPEC
was bound to open new vistas of unlimited opportunities for the industrial sector in general and logistics sector in particular.

Presiding over 58th meeting of the National Logistic
Board (NLB) held here, he appreciated the performance of NLC
and its overall contributions in the nation building process, according to a statement issued here on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by other members of the apex
logistics body.

Quarter Master General, Pakistan Army/Officer Incharge
of NLC Lt. Gen. Javed Mahmood Bukhari and Director General, NLC Maj.Gen. Mushtaq Ahmed Faisal briefed the participants about the operational, administrative and financial matters with special reference to the accomplished tasks and future development plans of NLC.

The Board after thorough deliberations, approved the
Audited Financial Statements for FY 2013/14 and FY 2014/15.
Appointment of external auditors of NLC for FY 2015/16
was also ratified by NLB.

APP Services
