Nisar, envoys of Japan, Australia discuss bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP): Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Friday held separate meetings with ambassador of Japan Takashi Kurai and High Commissioner of Australia Margaret Adamson and discussed bilateral relations and different matters of mutual cooperation.

According to interior ministry, the envoys condemned tragic
incident of Quetta and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

The Japanese ambassador said Japan valued the sacrifices of
people of Pakistan and law enforcement and security institutions in the ongoing war against terrorism and appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for peace in the region.

The interior minister said there was need for more steps and
efforts to put in place an effective system for sharing of
intelligence between Pakistan and Japan and for building capacity of personnel of law enforcement institutions.

He acknowledged the selfless assistance and cooperation always extended by Japan to Pakistan.

Talking with Australian High Commissioner, the minister said
Pakistan gave extreme importance to its friendly relations with Australia.

Nisar said both countries need to benefit from each others
experiences for steps in connection with anti narcotics, stopping of human smuggling, effective border management and capacity building of civil institutions.
