NHA retrieves 35 kanal land from encroachers
ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (APP):On directive of State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, National Highway Authority (NHA) is implementing anti encroachment drive along its network throughout the country.
Under 75 Day Action Plan, the NHA has cleared 525 locations from encroachments on conclusion of the 2nd week of this drive. To date 35.5 Kanal land has been repossessed amounting to more than Rs793 million.
In Multan 93 Marla land, in Bahawalpur 20 Marla land, In Rawalpindi 169 Marla land and in Hyderabad 45 Marla land has been recaptured by NHA from the encroachers. All the encroachments such as; sheds have been removed by the shop owners voluntarily in Batkhela.
NHA Chairman Jawwad Rafique Malik is personally supervising this anti encroachment drive to make it a success.
