NHA completes M-6 land acquisition after Rs 15.26bn payments

The National Highway Authority (NHA) has completed 100% land acquisition for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) project after making payments of about Rs15.26 billion to landowners, according to the latest official data available with Wealth Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (APP):The National Highway Authority (NHA) has completed 100% land acquisition for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) project after making payments of about Rs15.26 billion to landowners, according to the latest official data available with Wealth Pakistan.
The updated land acquisition status shows that the project requires 7,548 acres of land across its alignment, all of which has now been acquired, marking a major milestone for the construction of the 306-kilometre motorway.
The NHA has disbursed approximately Rs15.26 billion against the acquired land, completing the compensation process required for the project.
The M-6 motorway is being developed to improve connectivity between Sukkur and Hyderabad and strengthen the road link along the national highway network.
The completion of land acquisition is expected to facilitate progress on the remaining project activities and help move the motorway towards construction and eventual completion.
