New Year, New Projects: Mohsin Naqvi greenlights state-of-the-art cricket stadium, smart underpass, more in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Jan 01 (APP):A special meeting was held at CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi. During the extensive meeting, a detailed review of various public welfare projects was conducted. It was decided to initiate further projects for the convenience of citizens.
During the meeting, it was decided that a state-of-the-art cricket stadium will be constructed in Islamabad. Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has requested the final design of the stadium within 10 days.
A specific area has been allocated for the National Park. Additionally, it was decided to expand the scope of the modern Safe City Project in Islamabad. To improve traffic flow at Kashmir Chowk, a “Smart Underpass” will be constructed, with the final design to be submitted within 10 days.
It was also decided to hire renowned companies for the construction of a five-star hotel in Islamabad. Details of long-vacant commercial plots have been requested. A special team will be formed to hire a Solid Waste Management company. Land has also been allocated for the headquarters of law enforcement agencies.
Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi stated that operations against encroachments will continue with full force, and the released land will be used in the public interest. Various proposals for the construction of a new convention center in the federal capital were discussed. Proposals for allocating land for the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary, Rangers, and Islamabad Traffic Police were also reviewed.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa gave a briefing. The meeting was attended by IG Islamabad Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner General, CTO, SSP Operations, CDA members, and other senior officials.
