MADINAH, Jun 10 (APP):A comprehensive navigation guide mapping the outer gates of the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) has been released to assist Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan and across the globe. The new initiative maps out key courtyard gates, linking them directly to nearby Islamic heritage sites, commercial markets, and transport hubs to streamline movement and reduce overcrowding during peak prayer times.
For pilgrims seeking historical and spiritual landmarks, Gate 310 serves as a primary exit leading directly to the historic Masjid Al-Ghamamah where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed Eid and rain prayers as well as Masjid Abu Bakr Siddeeq and a major Zamzam water distribution station. Meanwhile, Gates 304 and 305 offer immediate access to the digitally immersive As-Safiyyah Museum, while Gate 328 connects visitors directly to the Holy Quran Distribution Center for complimentary copies of the sacred text.
The guide also highlights the most efficient routes for shopping and dining around the holy site. Gate 330 stands as the main commercial artery, providing easy access to a major supermarket chain and a bustling souvenir market filled with prayer mats, beads, and perfumes. Those looking for Medina’s world-famous dates can exit through Gates 304 and 305 to reach the central wholesale and retail date markets, while Gates 333 and 338 open directly into the heart of the city’s commercial district and the Taiba Commercial Center for clothing and jewelry. For dining, Gate 340 offers the quickest route to an array of international and local food courts and cafes.
Logistics, transport, and emergency healthcare have also been strategically mapped out to ensure visitor safety. Gate 333 functions as the mosque’s primary transport hub, housing pick-up points for ride-hailing services, the Medina Bus Service station, and an electric buggy terminal specifically designated to help elderly and disabled pilgrims navigate the expansive courtyards. For medical emergencies, Gates 304 and 305 sit directly opposite the As-Safiyyah Health Center, which provides immediate and complimentary healthcare services. To ensure a safe experience, mosque authorities strongly advise all pilgrims to take a smartphone photo of their entry gate number, which serves as a vital reference point for navigating back to hotels and locating companions amidst the massive crowds.
