New facilities to be inaugurated at `Shehr-e-Kitab’ on March 10

ISLAMABAD, Mar 09 (APP):Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and
Literary Heritage (NH&LH), Irfan Siddiqui will inaugurate two new
facilities at “Shehr-e-Kitab” (City of Books) at F/7 Markaz on March 10 which
aimed at promoting book reading habit among the citizens.
The novel facility of Shehr-e-Kitab, consisting
over 30 stalls, was launched by National Book Foundation (NBF) in the year 2016
to promote book reading culture through providing books on diversified
subjects, academic books and educational material on discounted rates.
The facility of `Book Cafe’ is being added to the
Shehr-e-Kitab where tea, coffee and other eatables will be available for the
book readers.
Besides this, a reading room is also being set up at Shehr-e-Kitab where book lovers will be able to study with comfort.
The book friendly initiative of Shehr-e-Kitab received over whelcoming response from the local visitors during the span of two years and after addition of these two facilities, it will prove as more attractive and effective for the local dwellers.
