NDMA cautions scattered rain, snowfall in quake hit areas

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): National Disaster Management Authority
(NDMA) has urged precautionary measures for ensuring unhindered
relief operation in earthquake hit areas as scattered rain and
and snowfall is expected in most of the earthquake hit areas.
Spokesman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Ahmed
Kemal said Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted
scattered rain and snowfall of moderate intensity in most disaster
hit areas in the first week of November.
The temperature, he added is likely to fall below zero
degree centigrade in some of the quake-hit areas.
The warning has been issued for ensuring unhindered execution
of relief activities.
Scattered rain and snowfall of light to moderate intensity is
expected in first week of November in Malakand Division (Districts
Chitral, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Malakand), Hazara Division
(Districts Shangla,Buner,Kohistan, Battagaram, Manshera), and
Gilgit-Baltistan.
The same is expected in Mardan Division of Khyber Pakhtunkwa
(District Charsadda, Mardan), Peshawar Division of Khyber Paktunkwa
( District Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi), all areas of
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
