ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Chairperson National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), Ume Laila Azhar, reaffirmed the Commission’s strong support for women lawyers advocating equality and justice across Pakistan during the 5th Annual Women Lawyers Conference.
The event was organized under the EU-funded Deliver Justice Project, implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partner organizations.
It aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in the legal profession and to strengthen their contributions toward ensuring equitable access to justice.
Addressing the participants, Chairperson Ume Laila Azhar emphasized that empowering women in the legal field is essential to achieving a fair and inclusive justice system.
She reiterated NCSW’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment that enables women lawyers to lead change and contribute meaningfully to justice reforms in Pakistan.
The conference also served as a platform for women lawyers to share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional networks for collective advancement.
