NCCIA Islamabad recovers over Rs1m of Rs 3.2m lost in online fraud
ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP):The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad Circle has recovered more than Rs1 million out of Rs3.2 million allegedly taken from a citizen through fraud, providing partial financial relief to the victim.
An NCCIA official told on Friday that the Islamabad Circle took action on the citizen’s complaint and succeeded in recovering more than Rs1 million of the amount lost in the fraud.
The affected citizen appreciated the efforts of NCCIA Islamabad Circle following the recovery and shared his experience in a video message.
The official said efforts were continuing to recover the remaining amount and complete further legal proceedings in the case.
NCCIA said citizens facing online fraud should approach the agency promptly and provide relevant transaction and digital records to help investigators trace fraudulent transactions and take action in accordance with law.
