NCCIA Islamabad arrests suspect in Rs 10.4 mlin online fraud case

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has arrested a suspect, Ali Haider Jahangir, for allegedly defrauding a citizen of Rs10.4 million.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has arrested a suspect, Ali Haider Jahangir, for allegedly defrauding a citizen of Rs10.4 million.
An NCCIA official told on Thursday that the agency’s Cyber Crime Reporting Centre (CCRC) Islamabad arrested the suspect in connection with the fraud case.
The official said a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered under Sections 3, 4, 14 and 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016, read with Sections 419, 420, 34 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The suspect is accused of cheating the complainant and causing a financial loss of Rs10.4 million.
The official said further investigation was underway to establish the facts of the case.
